GVG Genetic Monitoring

Human forensics revolutionizes laboratory animal genetics. Our contribution to your success.

About us

GVG Genetic Monitoring GmbH focuses on molecular genetic testing for animal husbandry and provides support to research-based companies in medicine and biotechnology.

The company has transferred methods from forensic genetics such as "genetic fingerprinting" to laboratory animals by means of STR analysis. The company now has genotyping methods with otherwise unrivaled resolution at its disposal. Our range of services includes molecular genetic services such as background testing, speed congenics and target genotyping. Our Snooplex FastPrep Kit enables uncomplicated and rapid sample collection by mouth swab. This not only simplifies animal transport and logistics as well as sample collection, but also completely eliminates tail tip biopsies.

You will find us in the BIO CITY Leipzig, one of the most modern centers for biotechnology and biomedicine in Germany and at the same time in close proximity to the University of Leipzig.

Our Team

Our biotechnologists, biologists, computer scientists and geneticists as well as our partner companies work to the highest standards and latest scientific findings to provide high-quality laboratory services and products. Our expert team of molecular geneticists is always available to answer your questions and advise you on your specific concerns.
